Gwinnett County Departmet of Water Resources is hosting a Rain Garden Workshop on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 7:00p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administratin Center. This rain garden workshop will educate citizens on how to created a rain garden and how these landscapes can create a more natural flow for rainwater, allowing it to soak into the ground rather than runoff to the streets or drainage ditches. Registration is required! Please register for this and other workshops by completing an online registration form.

Additional Resources The materials, presentations and workshop show how to construct a rain garden and to identify what plants to select. The plants in the rain garden are both beautiful and helpful. They add color and interest to your landscape and serve as habitat for butterflies, birds and other wildlife. She will also cover how rain gardens create a more natural flow for stormwater and reduce the amount of stormwater that runs into storm drains.
